The Division of Urogynecology in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Rochester Medical Center is offering a full-time academic position at the rank of Associate or Assistant Professor. The candidate must have completed sub-specialty training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and be board certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology or Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
Members of the Division of Urogynecology work collaboratively with faculty members from Colorectal Surgery and Urology out of the Center for Adult Pelvic Health & Continence Center, in a multi-specialty approach to providing coordinated care for women and men with diverse pelvic floor disorders.
Responsibilities of this position include clinical care of patients with complex pelvic floor disorders, including surgical and conservative management. Proficiency in vaginal approaches to pelvic reconstructive surgery is essential. The teaching of fellows in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology and Family Medicine residents as well as medical students on rotation is an integral part of this position. Research skills, interest and participation in clinical research are expected.
