The Rapid Response Team (RRT) RN is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while meeting competently all safe expectations of a nurse. Primary responsibility is to respond to calls and critical situations or concerns on all clinical areas and nursing units. The RRT RN will assess, evaluate and initiate approved interventions as appropriate to patient at risk for or exhibiting a change in condition. The RRT RN will utilize critical nursing and thinking skills in a manner that supports quality of patient care and optimum outcomes. The RRT RN acts as a role model by mentoring and educating nursing staff while assisting in delivering bedside care in a supportive relationship that facilitates the appropriate and timely treatment of patients. Maintains open communication with all staff to promote improvement of performance supports the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients.
Training and Experience:
a)Current CA RN License
b)Current BLS/ACLS Provider
c)Experience with Therapeutic Temperature Management (TTM)
Preferred: Acute hospital experience, 5 -10 year experience in Critical Care, BSN preferred
