The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
These positions will provide supervision of the UC San Diego Health Nurse Triage teams. Will support ongoing operations, enhancement of clinical protocols, integration into the Care Navigation Hub, communication with clinic care teams, and performance management. Will be a working manger position and will be expected to take triage calls, provide intervention and assistance on demand, and escalate high priority clinical issues to appropriate medical personnel.
Involves the provision of integrated and accessible care services in a clinic or center environment. Care is provided by clinicians and assistants who are accountable for addressing a large majority of personal health care needs and developing a sustainable partnership with patients. Ensures optimal patient outcomes through effective leadership and/or provision of patient care delivery in healthcare clinics or centers. Promotes shared decision-making at all levels to ensure a shared voice in practices, exchange of ideas, enhanced communication, and continually improved patient services.
Supervises patient care support staff providing interdisciplinary basic patient-care activities, such as medical assistants. Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in the Care Navigation Hub and serves as a role model. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. Educates the RN group and support staff utilizing evidence based best practices for telephone triage and customer service. Partners with care teams in ensuring appropriate disposition of patients phoning in.
This position is located in our Care Navigation Hub (Lightwave location) which is a highly visible call center with the ability to coordinate care across the enterprise. Experience with call center technology is a plus.
BSN required. Will consider candidates who are currently enrolled in a BSN or higher nursing degree program.
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.
Minimum one (1) year working in a charge, supervisory or management level position in an ambulatory clinic environment.
Primary/Urgent Care and or women’s health care experience.
Experience in GI or Urology experience.
Call Center Experience
Previous experience with Schmitt Thompson protocols.
LEAN training/experience or demonstrated change management experience.
Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the Care Navigation Hub's business needs.
